In math we just started with Unit 1"Square Roots and Surface Areas of Composite Objects". Students will learn on how to find square roots of perfect squares and non-perfect square numbers applyed in decimals and fractions. They will apply different strategies on how to calculate the square roots. (Usage of calculators will only be allowed to check the answers). The other part of this unit will be on finding the surface area of composite objects. Students will investigate how to find the total surface area of overlapping objects with different geometric shapes. There will be assignments for each section of math and then a mid-unit review followed by a unit test which will be at the end of month of September.
